I'm Timo Maiwald, based in Berlin. For over a decade I've been building startups — usually with my hands on the keyboard, often as the person responsible for whether the technology works.
As co-founder and CTO of Amberscript, I led engineering as we built proprietary speech-to-text models and scaled the platform from zero to more than 2 million users, growing the team to 20+ across three countries.
Today I work solo and deliberately so — taking founders from idea to a working AI product, then staying on to keep it sharp. You get senior decisions and senior output from one person, without the overhead of a team.
